Munkaspeni's 'Evolution of Jesus'

Horus
Horus was born of an immaculate conception, was the son of a major God, had 12 disciples, faced 40 days of temptation in the desert and was crucified. His major adversary was Set; origin: Satan.
Horus migrated from Egypt with the Israelites.

Pales

Pales was depicted nailed to a tree and was also worshipped in Rome.
Pales’ temples were called ‘Palaces’.

Yeshua Ben Miriam
Yeshua was a Rabbi and an activist who supported peaceful opposition to Rome’s rule.
He preached in the Palestine region for 1 – 3 years depending on accounts and was crucified for his efforts.
Once dead he became a martyr and messiah.

Jesus Christ
His name evolving from Yeshua to Joshua to Jesus and now the son of the god Yahweh/ Jehovah, Yeshua’s small cult found support in the form of Roman emperor Constantine and acquired a power base that became the Roman Catholic Church. Reported to have possessed super powers and the ability to return from the dead, Jesus became the figure head for a monotheistic male power orientated religion that spread and assimilated other, older religions and their practices and festivals. His birthday moved by 2 months to coincide with pagan winter festivals and his adversary, Satan acquired horns and goat hooves to discredit nature gods. His resurrection was also moved to take over Eostre’s (another name for Astarte: female fertility goddess) spring festival which is why the modern Easter festival still involves rabbits and eggs symbols for fertility and sex.
Jesus depicted as a half naked white Italian has become the corporate logo of the political church. Christianity as a political entity has been responsible for social repression, racism, abuse, death and war; the very things that poor old Yeshua got himself crucified for protesting about in the first place.
